Are there too many people in the world?
If all the people of the world (9,000,000,000 people) were squeezed together (4 people in 1 m2), the whole of humanity would fit on an area the size of the Istrian peninsula (2,820,000,000 m2).
If every living person in the world (9,000,000,000 people) were provided with a space of about 1,000 m2 to grow their own food, the whole of humanity would occupy an area equal to Brazil (8,456,510,000,000 m2).
If each family of four members (9,000,000,000 st. /4) were to be provided with an area of about 700 m2 to grow their own food, the whole of humanity would stand on an area equal to Iran (1,648,000,000,000 m2).
In 2019, it was estimated that there are about 7.7 billion people in the world. Almost all the necessary quantities of vegetables for a family of four can be produced in about 200 m2 of garden.
It is known that arable soils today cover an area of about 31,000,000,000,000 m2. The same amount of vegetables could be grown to feed 155 billion people, for over 38 billion four-member families.
There aren't too many people.
There is more than enough space for everything, except for greed.
