What is a Kamen Rider, you may ask? Simply put, the Kamen Riders are among the Greatest Heroes that Japan has. Much like Superman for America and The Doctor for Britain. Not only do they provide entertainment for us through their various media, but they also teach us how to be better people through their actions and words.
From the Superman who said: "Dreams save us. Dreams lift us up and transform us. And on my soul, I swear... until my dream of a world where dignity, honor and justice becomes the reality we all share -- I will never stop fighting"
From The Doctor who said: "Do you know what you do with all that pain? Shall I tell you where you put it? You hold it tight, till it burns your hand, and you say this: No one else will ever have to live like this. No one else will ever have to feel this pain. Not on my watch!"
And from the 34th Kamen Rider, Build, who said: "I will tell you this one thing. It's gonna crack. If I am able to use my power to help someone, it makes me happy from the bottom of my heart. My face cracking into a smile. Though you can not see it beneath the mask. It is not called justice... if you are expecting any
rewards."
Yes... Humanity needs her heroes, those souls that shine stronger than the stars through their stories. Though they may be imaginary, they have nonetheless managed to affect peoples lives as much as any real person. The stories of their heroism will continue to inspire current and future generations long after the minds that originally created them have departed this earth.
America gave the world Superman; Britain gave the world The Doctor; and Japan... gave the world the 35 Kamen Riders.
